A viking Iron arrowhead with a thickened armor piercing tip, attached to the tang. Honey- brown colored rust patina.
Excavated in Asia Minor, from the medieval period. Likely belonging to a viking mercenary enrolled by the Byzantine during the 12th and 13th centuries of the Crusades. The Ottomans would eventually take Constantinople.
From the world famous Guttmann collection embracing cultural feat dating from the 3rd millennium BC to the late Roman period. A well provenanced genuine viking arrowhead.
