Spear of the Makere, a subgroup of the Mangbetu. The steel spearhead blade is flared at the base and tapers to a point with a slight medial ridge through its entirety. Steel socket. Wooden shaft with copper wire binding and a steel butt spike at its end. From an old Belgian collection. Ca. 1900.
