Steel javelin of the Mongo / Konda peoples used for hunting. Strong medial ridge separated by two fullers, continuing into two outside ridges with chamfered edges. The shaft is wooden with a spiral carved design. From an old Belgian collection. Ca. 1900.
The last photo is of Nkundu warriors showing a similar javelin spear in hand.
