A small figurine of the Hindu God Ganesha, God of new beginnings, wisdom, luck, and the remover of obstacles. This figurine is made from cast brass. It was acquired from the previous owner's grandmother, who was an American missionary and brought this statue back among many other items from India in the late 19th century from her travels in Asia.
