A Syrian khanjar with the hilt reminiscent of Bedouin form. The all steel composition of the hilt and sheath has silver overlay, most of which is now lost. Two silver rosettes adorn the grip. Possibly an early tourist example during the French Mandate. Although basic in character, the double-edged steel curved blade does have some expressive thickness, allowing this knife to be a functioning item if needed.
