A silver jambiya in the abdi style from the cross regions of Saudi Arabia and Yemen. The curved steel blade is double- edged with a prominent medial ridge. Hilt of finely worked silver with extended pommel sides and thickly decorated filigree work. Sheath of heavy whole silver with worked filigree, and a large upcurving domed pommel. Newly replaced leather backing by the previous owner. Leather belt of green and brown stitching with five attached silver buckle rings.
